Well, the world may be ending, but it’s nice to see the future of democracy in Essembly. Basically, Essembly is a social networking site, but one that lets you propose and vote on various political resolutions. (”I believe that even the most abhorrent speech should be protected.”, “I support Israel’s current actions in response to the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers.”) You then can view people who have ideologies close to yours, or see how well you mesh with other people on the site.
Pretty cool. All elections will be run through this site in the year 2024, after we’ve rebuilt from next year’s nuclear holocaust.
